Introduction: This training will introduce beginners to the wide range of EU funding opportunities available. It will cover basic guidance on the application procedures and where to find more details. Most recent information will be shared about the current EU programs for the financial period 2014-20. This training will target the categories of potential applicants: small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), young people, researchers, farmers and public bodies. However, it may also be a valuable source of information for applicants from other fields.

Objectives of the Training: The objectives of the training are to familiarize the potential, current or past recipients of EU funds about the followings:
- The structure of EU and its directorates
- Funding opportunities available till 2020
- How to assess your qualification for any “Call for proposal”
- Procedures and processes for application
- Guidelines of EU related to transparency, accountability and grant management
Based on participants’ countries, the contents will be contextualized that will focus on country specific strategies of EU.
Training Methodology: The trainer will adopt a participatory training methodology, including skills-based learning sessions, short/mini-lectures (based on PowerPoint presentations), trainer-participants discussions, demonstrations and group and/or individual exercises with simulations.
