Introduction:
Children’s claims should only be dealt with by those with specialist training in managing claims from children and who have an understanding of child protection, signs of abuse and of human trafficking. A tailored approach needs to be taken in the interview process, setting and decision making and this course will empower those working in this area to manage children’s asylum and protection claims with confidence, whilst also ensuring that their safeguarding obligations under international, regional and local conventions are met.

- Creating a confident and appropriate interview technique for working with children in protection
